The deal is this: 

The judges get to use ONE save for ONE contestant every season (Top 13 - Top 5). This one save must be used before the Top 5 week and everyone knows that. 

DeAndre Brackensick should have gotten that ONE save this season and the producers and judges know it as well. 

Now, since they did not save DeAndre, they only had 2 weeks left to use the “SAVE”. So, what better way to trick America into thinking that they’re finally using the save on the “right” person other than putting the TOP 3 PERFORMERS last night in the bottom 3?

Of course, they know people will act shocked and be “glad” that they used the save for the best singer in the competition (Jessica Sanchez). 

Truth is: Jessica, Josh and Elyse were NEVER in danger of going home - Idol wanted to use that SAVE so they can finally get Elease out next week and Holly to follow. 

Now, I’ll let the people who are easily fooled and tricked believe what Idol just tried to pull, but I know better. I know this show like the back of my hand and there’s always a gimmick and hidden agenda behind these “shocker” results. Nice try.
